The Medal of Freedom for Elvis

On November 16, 2018, President Donald J. Trump awarded the Medal of Freedom, posthumously, to Elvis Aron Presley. The Kin of Rock and Roll was honored to initiate a petition, but our beloved Ronnie Fleetwood took control of the narrative, passing through the "channels" and proceeding from there to nominate Elvis. Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. accepted the award on behalf of Elvis. Lisa Marie was not present to accept the award on her father's behalf. A tribute it was, indeed, for there is none so deserving of the Medal of Freedom then our beloved cousin, Elvis. He would have cherished the honor most humbly.
