Many of us knew and loved Elvis. Not all of us were found spending days at Graceland for many lived a good distance away and were not able to enjoy such pleasures outside of their own home lives. Still, Elvis somehow found kinfolk across the miles and kept in touch on a regular basis, when he could. Others spent alot of time at Graceland, and with Elvis in person, and following are some of those stories we, gladly, share with you.

Allen Presley...The Little Boy at Graceland

Allen Cabell Mitchell

Allen Presley was born in the 1950's,in Virginia to a woman he claimed had had a brief affair with young Elvis while Elvis was on tour there. The young lady, anonymous for privacy purposes, was married at the time, to Elvis' ill knowledge, for had she informed him of her situation, it is definite that Elvis would never have gotten involved with her. It was that way with him.

Elvis' family and unknown boy

After the birth of the baby, whom his mother named "Allen Presley," was given up for adoption to the Mitchell family, he received his new name: "Cabell Mitchell." There are Presley kin in Virginia where Allen was born and raised, and Ronnie Fleetwood had been in touch with some of these family members. Allen has told his story to a few; including to Barbara Lee. Ronnie Fleetwood said that he thought Allen/Cabell was telling the truth after having known him. Allen/Cabell revealed that he had visited Graceland at times, as a small boy, and that a Tonka truck still exists at the premises that belonged to him. He further claimed that Elvis' grandma, Minnie Mae, had watched over him while he was there, and that Priscilla had even gotten after him with a wooden spoon. Allen/Cabell further claimed that he was given two silver spoons that had belonged to Gladys Presley (photo at right).

Allen/Cabell passed away of cancer a couple of years ago. As Ronnie did painstakingly research any and all information on questionable people, more especially on those who claimed kinship to Elvis, had Allen/Cabell been lying, Ronnie would have surmised it. Instead, the two had become very close. In his own right, Allen/Cabell had a great voice, but preferred shadow singing on Elvis' tunes. One could hardly tell there were two different voices!

Perhaps Presley family members remember seeing a little boy with glasses every now and then at Graceland. Allen/Cabell told Barbara Lee that he had received many gifts from Red West over the years; items that had belonged to Elvis.
